This is my first blog post.  Ever.  So please bear with me as I get my bearings!

The long steep staircase in the photo represents how I'm feeling right now as I'm building this website, also my first.   But that's me at the top, so maybe there's hope!

This temple is part of the vast archaeological ruins of the ancient city of Ayutthaya, Thailand.  In the 1300's, it was the capital of the country then known as Siam.

Lauren and I were there in January of 2013;  I'll post more photos from our trip under my site's Southeast Asia tab soon.

First Blog From my Phone

This is a test to see how easy it is to post a blog entry (with a photo) from my iPhone.

Result:  easy to do, but the photo arrived at my website in a huge size.  Not sure I can re-size on the phone before posting.  It can be re-sized on the computer, but this results in a loss of resolution.
